Our community is based on a philosophy centered on living “from the heart” through cooperation, shared intention, and collective well-being. As a community we contrast the “old paradigm” based on competition, fear, scarcity, and self-centeredness with a “new paradigm” rooted in interdependence, abundance, and connection.
At the core of our philosophy is the idea that abundance comes not from focusing solely on individual gain, but happens when we care for each other. My abundance is connected to your abundance – this is the common good created through community living. As people expand their sense of identity from “me” to “we,” they begin to experience the abundance already built into the web of life itself. We stop asking “what’s good for me” and start asking “what’s good for us?”.
At Anahata we view this expanded sense of self as an ongoing form of personal inner-work and also as a spiritual path. This collective shift creates security, connection, and abundance through collective effort and shared responsibility.
By recognizing the interdependence of all things, including our internal energies, and surrendering some personal autonomy for the benefit of the whole, we have created a more joyful, connected, peaceful and abundant life at Anahata Village.
